What a week it has been! MEVCO’s Perth Drive Week has wrapped up, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the response. Mining executives, site managers, and crews had the chance to get behind the wheel of our all-electric, mine-ready Rivian R1T and MEVCO EV 4×4 vehicles, experiencing first-hand the power, safety, and capability of these innovative machines on a rugged off-road track.
The track at Driver Risk Management provided the perfect environment to push our vehicles to their limits. Through muddy, sandy, and often wet terrain, attendees were able to see just how well the Rivian R1T and MEVCO EV 4×4 perform in the toughest mining conditions. From steep inclines to uneven surfaces, these vehicles showcased their durability and performance, with each driver leaving impressed.
Our CEO, Matt Cahir, shared his enthusiasm about the event: “Every driver left impressed, with one executive commenting, ‘You are going to revolutionise the vehicle fleet in mining.’” It’s feedback like this that fuels our commitment to changing the way mining operations approach fleet vehicles – making them safer, more sustainable, and ultimately more efficient.

Their dedication to showcasing MEVCO’s service and support solutions ensured that each test drive was a success and that every attendee left with a deeper understanding of how we can help them improve their operations.
We were also thrilled to have Australian Olympic 400M hurdles semi-finalist Alanah Yukich – sister of our own Andrew Yukich – join us for a ride in the Rivian R1T. Her excitement about the vehicle’s performance was the perfect addition to an already fantastic day.
